We Coach High-Achievers to

Reclaim Resilience

Animal Flow based in Chicago, Illinois

  • Strengthen Your Core

  • Increase Your Range of Motion

  • Ignite Your Energy

We've Become Disconnected from Our Bodies

You may have a running routine, use machines at the gym, love Tabata routines on the stationary bike, or maybe use free weights or know how to swing a kettlebell.

But did you know our bodies were designed to move through end ranges of motion in multiple angles, in variable and novel loads?

Animal Flow is designed to develop your entire body into a more complete, high-functioning body improving:

Mobility

Endurance

Stability

Balance

Speed

Strength

Power

Flexibility

What if I told you I could make whatever YOUR fitness routine is right now, BETTER?

Animal Flow is a quadrupedal movement training system designed to promote the integration of the ENTIRE body.

Increase Connection

Take ownership for how you move your body by firing up the sensory receptors in your hands and feet which ignites the "information highway" of your central nervous system.

Improve Resilience

Encourage resilience of the body mindfully moving all joints, all of the time through moving in various planes of motion, variable and novel loads in quadrupedal positions.

Enhance Performance

Build a more complete, high-functioning body by not only focusing on your strengths but on your opportunities in speed, endurance, mobility, strength, power, flexibility, and stability.

Reclaim Your Joy

Take back playfulness and creativity by inviting the exploration of new movement patterns. Animal Flow can infuse joy, breaking away from traditional fitness routines and encourage a sense of freedom.

COACH MK is just what I needed! I started training with Coach MK in October of 2021. I had started a business the year prior and was pretty lost as far as fitness and health goals went. I was focused only on my business. After we started working together, I knew this was going to be something that stuck. The most important thing I take away from our sessions is that practice makes progress. Coach teaches the foundations and builds upon it so that the moves I do strengthen my practice and avoid injury. She knows the right amount of push and challenge and is constantly giving tips on optimizing our workouts with improvements to my nutrition and overall wellness. She is a staple in our entire family as our kids LOVE to impress her with their swings and animal flow moves. It has been about 2.5 years and I have never been stronger mentally and physically. I actually can’t believe the transformation. What is the phrase for HIGHLY RECOMMEND + infinity? That’s what I give her!

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I too old/young/big/small/weak for Animal Flow?

No way! Master Instructor, Kathy Donatto shares: “Check me out, for instance. I’m not your typical-looking fitness trainer but I’m over 50 and I feel almost invincible. Whether I have a little extra weight or no extra weight, I now feel that I can do whatever I want with this body and that’s amazing!”“ It can be tempting to compare yourself to others and it’s nice to have people to look up to, but this really is about you. Focus on your own journey, be proud of what you can do each day, and have fun,” she says. Movements will be modified in class to suit your existing fitness level and take into account a wide range of physical limitations. We all learn to crawl (literally) before we can jump, kick or float.

Will Animal Flow hurt my wrists?

In the same way that your muscles need to gradually get used to the healthy stress of unfamiliar movements, so do your wrists and hands. While it can be normal to experience some slight wrist discomfort at first, many Flowists experience nothing more than fatigue. We will begin and end each practice with Wrist Mobilizations which are important for wrist care. So is gradually increasing your exposure to the ground.

Does Animal Flow involve making noises?

Absolutely not! LOL. Animal Flow does NOT involve noise-making other than using our breath to punctuate movements. We will work hard and have a lot of fun. It’s best to have an open mind to get the most out of each class.
